Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of our flooring business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, preferably within the flooring or construction industry, and will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient business processes across all departments, including project management, inventory control, logistics, customer service, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the business, ensuring all processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with company goals.
Project Management: Coordinate and manage flooring installation projects, from initial client inquiry to project completion, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and budgets are met.
Supply Chain Management: Monitor inventory levels, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies needed for projects.
Team Management: Supervise and motivate staff, including installation teams, administrative personnel, and customer service representatives. Ensure proper training, performance evaluations, and a high level of team collaboration.
Customer Service: Act as the main point of contact for customer concerns and inquiries, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Control: Implement quality control processes to ensure all flooring installations meet company standards and client expectations.
Financial Oversight: Monitor and manage budgets for individual projects, track expenses, and ensure profitability. Report on financial performance to senior management.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and guidelines in the workplace, especially during on-site installations.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project statuses, employee performance, inventory levels, and financial metrics. Prepare reports for management as required.

Qualifications:

Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management, preferably in the flooring, construction, or home improvement industries.
Strong knowledge of flooring products, installation processes, and industry standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
Proficient in using project management software, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong understanding of health, safety, and compliance regulations in construction or flooring environments.
