- When assigned, survey the market, collect the quotations prepare the comparative statements, and present the case file to GM logistics
- After necessary approval issue of purchase order
- Ensure that the goods and services are supplied and available in time
- Ensure that material/goods/services supplied against the purchase order /work order are of the desired quality, correct quantity & price, and workmanship
- Maintain a list of sources of general commodities, electro-medical equipment, IT equipment, furniture and routine stock items, and other essential stock with current price, this list will be reviewed periodically.
- Maintain procurement records, quotations, purchase orders, and work orders in the system and files
- Verification of the, delivery orders, invoices, and related documents submitted by the suppliers
- Liaison with the suppliers/contractors to find their delivery/work status for the materials and services
- Will be a member of the hospital purchase committee and will prepare and process all purchase proposals as assigned
- Work out annual budget requirements in consultation with the user departments and the Procurement Manager
- Responsible for the efficient, economical, and smooth functioning of the procurement dept.
