We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Unit Economics and Inventory Management Specialist to join our team at Bluebird Paints.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the unit economics of our production process, ensuring that all raw materials are available at the time of order placement, and preventing any shortages that could lead to production delays.
  • This role is crucial for maintaining smooth operations and ensuring timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:

Bill of Materials (BOM) Management:

  • Develop and maintain detailed BOMs for all products.
  • Regularly update BOMs based on production feedback and material availability.

Inventory Monitoring and Management:

  • Track the availability of all raw materials in real-time.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy in stock levels.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to reorder materials as needed.

Order Processing:

  • Analyze new orders to ensure all required materials are available before production starts.
  • Coordinate with the production team to prioritize orders based on material availability.

Production Planning:

  • Work closely with the production team to plan and schedule production runs based on material availability.
  • Monitor ongoing production processes to anticipate any material shortages and take proactive measures.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Prepare detailed reports on unit economics, including material costs, labor, and overheads.
  • Analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve production efficiency.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks related to material shortages or production delays.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure timely delivery.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Propose and implement process improvements to enhance inventory management and production efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in unit economics and inventory management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, production planning, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Excel and inventory management software.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM management.
