Your primary responsibility is to ensure a positive dining experience for customers by providing excellent service. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and attend to customer needs, contributing to the overall satisfaction of patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet and welcome customers in a friendly manner.
- Assist customers in making menu selections.
- Provide recommendations and answer questions about menu items.
- Ensure timely and accurate service to meet customer expectations.
Order Taking and Serving:
- Take and record customer orders accurately.
- Relay orders to the kitchen and ensure the correct dishes are served.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and organized manner.
- Check back with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
Table Maintenance:
- Set up tables with appropriate utensils, napkins, and condiments.
- Clear tables efficiently and reset them for the next customers.
- Ensure a clean and organized dining area.
Billing and Payments:
- Present bills to customers and handle payments accurately.
- Process payments through cash, credit cards, or other acceptable means.
- Provide change and receipts as needed.
Communication:
- Effectively communicate with kitchen staff and other team members.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth service.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
Upselling:
- Suggest additional items such as desserts or drinks to enhance the dining experience.
- Encourage customers to try daily specials or promotions.
