We are seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Mold Designer to join our design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing molds and dies for plastic injection molding, as well as creating CAD models, CAM programs, and manufacturing documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mold Design: Design molds and dies for plastic injection molding using CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor).

2. CAD Modeling: Create 3D CAD models of molds, dies, and other manufacturing tools.

3. CAM Programming: Generate CAM programs for CNC machining centers to manufacture molds and dies.

4. Manufacturing Documentation: Create manufacturing documentation, including drawings, specifications, and instructions.

5. Design for Manufacturability: Ensure designs are manufacturable, efficient, and meet customer requirements.

6. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure design integrity and manufacturability.

7. Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues, and develop solutions to improve efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or degree: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool and Die Design, or a related field.

2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mold design, CAD/CAM, and manufacturing.

3. CAD/CAM software proficiency: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor) and CAM software (e.g. Mastercam, PowerMill).

4. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including plastic injection molding, CNC machining, and tooling.

5. Excellent problem-solving skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues.
