Role & responsibilities
- We are a digital marketing agency looking to hire a skilled WordPress & PHP developer to design and implement functional websites for our clients.
- You will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development. This will include implementing themes and plugins, site integration, and security updates.
- Our ideal candidate will have expertise in front-end programming languages, a good aesthetic vision, and robust content creation skills.
Required Skills
- Proven work experience as a WordPress & PHP developer. Shopify experience would be a good addition to this, although not mandatory.
- Knowledge of back-end and front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery, and PHP.
- Knowledge of tools like Mercurial, Git, and SVN.
- Experience working with debugging tools like Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
- Good understanding of website architecture, UX, and UI.
- Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects within the required timeline.
Tasks
- Designing and building websites front-end in WordPress and Shopify.
- Managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
- Generating WordPress and Shopify themes and plugins.
- Conducting website performance tests and troubleshooting any issues.
- Communicate with the client for requirements and deliver progress updates.
