Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Systems Implementation:

    • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance systems and processes in line with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
    • Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and company policies.
  2. Product Quality Control:

    • Monitor product quality at all stages of production to ensure adherence to quality standards.
    • Review and analyze quality control data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
    • Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformities and implement preventive measures.
  3. Process Auditing and Improvement:

    • Conduct regular internal audits of production and quality processes to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and optimize production efficiency.
  4. Team Leadership and Training:

    • Supervise and guide the QA team to ensure smooth operations.
    • Conduct training sessions for staff on quality standards, procedures, and customer requirements.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
    • Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
  6. Customer and Regulatory Compliance:

    • Address customer complaints related to quality issues and provide timely resolutions.
    • Ensure compliance with local and international quality regulations and certifications.
  7. Supplier Quality Assurance:

    • Evaluate and monitor supplier performance to ensure incoming materials meet quality requirements.
    • Collaborate with the procurement team to address supplier quality issues.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience:

    • 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferrably in the leather/textile safety apparel, gloves, or bags industry.
  3. Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong understanding of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
    • Proficient in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis methods.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.
  4. Certifications (Preferred):

    • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent certification.
    • Six Sigma Green Belt or similar quality improvement certification.
