The Graphic Designer is an experienced and reliable individual that can deliver regular pieces of work to a consistent and high standard. These deliverables will conform to brand guidelines created by our Head of Design.

Key Responsibilities

Create artwork and digital graphics for web and social media, using a mobile-first approach
Create occasional print graphics
Create thumbnails for video content
Building email designs based on existing templates
Work collaboratively with rest of the design and wider team

Person Specification

Relevant professional qualification within Graphic Design or similar and work experience in a similar role
Proficient using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator) and be continuously up-to-date with design techniques and styles
Good knowledge of and ability to use Figma proficiently or other similar software (Adobe XD or Sketch)
A strong understanding and interest in typography, hierarchy, and colour
Proven experience with graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work
Demonstrable experience of working effectively with others and independently
Experience working with Brand Guidelines
Excellent e-communication skills
You’re naturally positive, receptive to creative feedback and work well collaboratively
Time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent planning, organizational and administrative skills – with a particular focus on attention to detail and delivering high-quality work
Self-motivated and self-reliant
Some experience or interest in UX/UI (not a must)
Willingness to learn, refine and develop new skills
An eye for detail plus the ability to produce accurate work when under pressure
Willing to support the sales and fundraising initiatives of Islam21c
Participation at our Annual Dinners and occasional team-building activities
