We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant to support our finance department with daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting in the preparation of reports and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day financial transactions and data entry
- Process invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses
- Maintain and reconcile ledgers and accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial reports
- Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
- Help with payroll processing and related records
- Manage petty cash and employee reimbursements
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors when required
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree/B.Com or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience as an Account Assistant, Bookkeeper, or in a similar role
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Basic understanding of tax regulations and compliance.
- Strong communication skills
