As the Accounting Coordinator, you will ensure the smooth operation of all accounting tasks. This usually includes updating records, account reconciliation, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to solve any anomalies. The Account Coordinator is also responsible for accurately recording all day-to-day financial transactions, manage invoices and review A/R ageing reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing all accounting tasks, including data entry and account closing
- Consolidate the general ledger with the A/P and A/R subledgers
- Manage daily financial transactions, such as general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain the general ledger and make sure all transactions are accurately and compliantly documented
- Keeping a monthly report on prepayments, accrued purchases and vendor balance
- Set up relevant financial structures for all transactions to minimize risk, optimize working capital and reduce financing cost
- Do routine bank reconciliations to ensure the correctness of financial data and address any anomalies
- Carry out monthly reconciliation schedules and follow up on outstanding items
- Project coordination and effective communication with all other departments such as credit, tax, cash operations, etc.
- Utilize accounting software and tools effectively to streamline process and enhance productivity
- Undertake special projects and any analysis as needed
What we are looking for in you
- Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent degree)
- Minimum 03 years of relevant experience in reputable organization
- Big 4 experience would be an advantage (PwC, KPMG, Deloitte or EY)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Advanced expertise with spreadsheets including VLookup and Pivot Tables
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Strong interpersonal and cooperative working skills
