Capacity Building and Training Specialist
Under the overall guidance of the Senior CDC IGH Advisor, the Capacity Building and Training Specialist shall be part of the IG/CDC NEOC team and will be responsible for developing unique and targeted training courses and programs for IG/CDC employees as well as support training of government of Pakistan and GPEI partners personnel. . He/she is expected to perform following key duties and work closely with the NEOC, PEOCs, other government of Pakistan Health departments and NSTOP Teams:
1. Conduct detailed and ongoing needs assessment for continuous training and professional development of NSTOP and IG/CDC Consultants to ensure that NSTOP and IG/CDC officers and consultants are well equipped to respond to all public health needs.
2. Train new hires on company policies and procedures and use the best training methods for a specific purpose or audience.
3. Create training schedules for all NSTOP and IG/CDC personnel, track and create reports on outcomes of all training and maintain training records.
4. Work with NSTOP and IG team to create and maintain individual development plans for all NSTOP officers and IG consultants.
5. Prepare curriculum for routine capacity building of public health professionals with specific focus on polio and vaccine preventable diseases and work to identify facilitators to cover specific subject areas.
6. Coordinate preparation of the technical materials and technical notes for conducting training.
7. Schedule regular refresher trainings – includes working with the logistic team, identify participants, designing and distributing agenda, reaching out to facilitators, etc.
8. Liaise with NIH FELTP Coordinator and other relevant departments and partners (WHO, UNICEF, BMGF, gavi, others and GoP) to identify potential opportunities for joint trainings and collaborations.
9. Help prepare progress reports, intermediate reports covering special topics as needed.
10. Facilitate trainings, including large cohorts and trainer of trainer sessions.
11. Work with the curriculum development team to incorporate input and targeted additions and edits based on context and background experience.
12. Design and manage monitoring of quality of implemented trainings and progress of trainees
13. Undertake other relevant duties as directed by the Senior CDC advisor.
