Assistant Accounts Officer

We have required An Assistant Account Officer in our rice mill is typically responsible for assisting with the financial and accounting operations of the company. Key responsibilities may include:

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting and Bookkeeping:

Maintain accurate financial records for all transactions.

Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.

Record accounts payable and receivable.

Inventory Management:

Track inventory of rice, raw materials, and other supplies.

Ensure proper stock valuation and provide reports to the management regarding stock levels and costs.

Coordinate with the production team to ensure that inventory is aligned with production requirements.

Reconciliation:

Perform bank reconciliations to ensure that cash records match the company's bank accounts.

Reconcile accounts payable and receivable with suppliers and customers.

Invoicing and Payments:

Prepare and process invoices for customers.

Ensure timely payments to suppliers and vendors.

Handle petty cash management and record petty cash expenses.

Cost Control and Budgeting:

Assist in monitoring and controlling costs related to production and operations.

Help with preparing budgets and forecasts for the rice mill.

Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Taxation and Compliance:

Help prepare and file tax returns in compliance with government regulations.

Maintain proper documentation for tax audits and ensure that all tax payments are made on time.

Reporting and Analysis:

Assist senior accountants or financial managers in preparing financial reports for management.

Analyze financial data to provide insights into business performance, profitability, and financial trends.

Payroll Assistance:

Assist in processing payroll for factory workers and office staff.

Ensure that wages, bonuses, and deductions are accurately calculated.

Internal Controls:

Ensure the proper implementation of financial controls and procedures to prevent fraud and financial discrepancies.

Assist in internal audits and external audits when required.

Skills Required:

Basic Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and the ability to work with accounting software.

Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in financial data entry, reports, and reconciliations.

Proficiency with Software: Familiarity with accounting software like Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems used in rice mills.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial information and provide insights or recommendations.

Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
