Reports to: Production Manager/Engineering Manager

Location: Muridkey

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mechanical Production Engineer to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective production of mechanical components and assemblies, while maintaining high-quality standards and minimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and Development: Collaborate with design engineers to develop and improve mechanical components and assemblies.

2. Production Planning: Plan and coordinate production activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.

3. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.

4. Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards, and implement corrective actions as needed.

5. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment, including scheduling and budgeting for maintenance activities.

6. Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and materials.

7. Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement cost-saving initiatives.

8. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor production team members, including providing training and guidance on production processes and procedures.

9. Communication: Foster effective communication with production team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

10. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to improve production efficiency and product quality.

Requirements

1. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

2. Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in mechanical production engineering, preferably in a similar role.

3. Skills: Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with experience in production planning, process improvement, and quality control.

4. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including design, development, and production of mechanical components and assemblies and Production.
