Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic solution architecture workshops with stakeholders to align IT initiatives with business objectives and technology roadmaps. 
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of business processes, systems, and data, identifying opportunities for strategic IT investments and improvements. 
  • Develop holistic solution architectures that encompass both technical and business considerations, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and principles. 
  • Collaborate closely with enterprise architects and technology leaders to define solution blueprints and integration strategies. 
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring solutions are designed and implemented according to best practices and industry standards. 
  • Drive innovation and thought leadership in solution design, leveraging emerging technologies and trends to deliver competitive advantages. 
  • Evaluate third-party products and solutions, conducting proof-of-concept exercises and vendor assessments to support procurement decisions. 
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development of detailed business and technical requirements documentation, ensuring clarity and alignment with solution architectures. 
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentorship within the business analysis community, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development. 
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define metrics and KPIs for solution performance measurement, supporting ongoing optimization and refinement efforts. 

Qualification, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field. 
  • Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and techniques. 
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to elicit and document requirements. 
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques such as process mapping, data modeling, and use case development. 
  • Familiarity with project management tools and techniques. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. 
  • Ability to create detailed functional specifications and use cases. 
  • Experience in conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) and facilitating user training sessions. 
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools. 
  • Knowledge of database design and SQL. 
  • Knowledge of software integrations and APIs. 
  • Experience in facilitating workshops and leading cross-functional teams in solution design and implementation. 
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements, with experience in designing solutions that meet regulatory standards. 
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in IT, with a focus on their practical applications in business contexts.

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is an ICT-based system in Pakistan providing a single window for trade. PSW is a facility that allows parties involved in trade and transport to lodge standardized information and documents at a single-entry point to fulfill all import, export, and transit-related regulatory requirements. If information is electronic, then individual data elements need to be submitted only once. PSW will connect relevant government departments with each other and with economic operators like importers, exporters, customs agents, shipping agents, transporters etc, in Pakistan for efficient management of cross border trade. It will provide the ease and transparency in achieving compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, through an on-line facility, that will intelligently handle the information for each transaction without the need to provide same information more than once or to physically visit such government departments. Pakistan has committed to implement various provisions of World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement that includes implementation of a National Single Window (NSW) system before February, 2022. Pakistan also needs PSW implementation to overhaul management of its external trade for reducing time, cost and complexity involved to improve its position in various global rankings on competitiveness and ease of doing business. Guiding vision and mission objectives: VISION: Pakistan will establish a world-class automated hub by 2022, offering services and creating efficiencies, to reduce cross border trade related costs, time and complications for improved trade facilitation and compliance. MISSION: Improve cross-border trader processing by providing centralized ICT based services, simplified processes, effective and reliable automation, harmonized data exchange and risk-based selectivity in enforcement of government’s regulations.
