Summary

Shahida Shah, is a Human Rights/Women Empowerment Professional and a research scholar who conducted academic research on Psycho-Social repercussions of 9/11 on Pakistan, a case history of APS School, Peshawar for M.Phil Degree. She is an active member of the civil society of KP and also a development professional who works on human rights and women empowerment in KP/erstwhile FATA. She led the first community forums for tribal women of FATA from 2012-2018, where the tribal women shared their issues and approached the authorities for solutions, and participated in the movement against the century-old black law called Frontier Crime Regulation (FCR). As a result, their achievements contributed to FATA Reforms and the FATA merger in KP.

Miss Shah has worked for Minority Women Rights in KP/ex-FATA and has supervised the legislation advocacy process with Parliamentarians, Politicians, Media Civil Society successfully. At the request of minority women, Miss Shah has also initiated public celebrations of the Non-Muslim religious ceremonies like Christmas in Landi Kotal (FATA), Raksha Bandhan, Deewali, Holi, etc for interfaith harmony minority rights.
