A Descriptive study on the improvement in quality of textbooks and learning material. This research is about the aspect of raising the quality of education based on National Education Policy 2009. This study covers the basic areas about textbook that are needed for best quality of education. The excellent quality of education is demanding day by day so, it is significant to introduce some major points in context of textbooks quality that are compulsory for betterment of teaching and learning process. Study is conducted for the purpose to check the improvement of quality of textbooks. This further includes that how much learning material are important in a learning process. Policy indicates that improving quality requires action in the areas of teacher quality, curriculum and pedagogy, textbooks, assessment approaches, and in learning environment and facilities. But the study just reflects upon the areas of quality in textbooks & learning materials and policy actions about these areas. In first priority it is crucial to set best education criteria because the needs changes with respect to time. So, to enhance learning process, proper learning material and improvement of quality of textbooks is the need of present era. This study is about some major needs in context of learning or educational materials and the textbooks that should improve for development of best strategies in education system. National Education Policy indicates that quality of textbook has a major role in learning. It also includes that learning or teaching material are also significant for best students’ performance. This study work on the policy actions and implementations that are demanded to improve the government sector education about quality of textbook and learning materials. The study has conduct a survey for the purpose. Some of stakeholders have participate for the survey. Study has also suggest some of ways to make our education system ideal.
