Actively contribute to the development of different tools needed for proper implementation of the project
Develop work plan, implement activities and conduct regular technical review meetings for consistency and compliance
Serve as the lead nutrition resource person to ensure all project activities are implemented in accordance with set guidelines
Lead and monitor sensitization sessions for community by the Nutrition Officers in each district/tehsil
Support stabilization centers in maintaining accurate records of screening, referrals, treatments, and follow-up data.
Review reports of Nutrition Officers and prepare regular reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomes for project reporting.
Generate activity data, compile statistical data and draft appropriate reports on activities (narrative and quantitative)
Analyze nutrition situation and prevailing trends and provide constructive written feedback
Participate during project assessments
Provide technical expertise to support the integration of nutrition in ADPs
Facilitate to maintain relationship with concerned Government and private sector stakeholders.
Disseminate the data (Quarterly/ Yearly) on nutritional status to the relevant authorities i.e. Health Secretariat, Directorate of Health Services, Planning and Development Department etc.
Prepare materials as reports, presentations, concept notes, proposal to be used in advocacy, policy making, sessions, workshops, and seminars.
• Train adolescent girls and CBA women about nutrition in pregnancy
• Work to remove myths and taboos about harmful dietary practices in women
• Train women and families about dietary diversity and supporting small farms as a source of income
• Work in close collaboration with Education, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, WASH departments and other relevant stakeholders
• Train field workers (agriculture, livestock, fisheries ) on production of valuable nutrition food product
• Train water and sanitation field workers on supply of safe drinking water and safe hygiene
• Train target groups in skills to make water safe at domestic level
• Promote health and hygiene through mass media
• Create awareness about healthy dietary practices in educational institutions and convert all tuck shops in healthy foods outlets of GB
• Train school teachers lecturer and student on importance of balanced diet, nutrition, safe drinking water and hygiene
• Train field workers of MNCH, Ehsas Nashunuma program, National Program, Stabilization centers in capacity building activities to reduce burden of Malnutrition
• To check and balanced of sub-standard edible products in market and house hold level
• Promote nutrition sensitive gender equity policy at domestic and public places
• Organize awareness activities about balanced diet for women and children.
• Screening of Stunted and Wasted children from community and Refer the SAM/MAM patients to stabilization center
• Analyze data considering MICS 2017/ NNS 2018 and develop reports on screening data of Malnourished children from community
• Providing assistance to Science Teachers in developing lesson plans and there proper implementation in their classes.
• Developing scientific thinking skills among teachers and to ensure its being translated into classrooms.
• Identifying teacher’s pedagogical needs in science subject with emphasis on the medium of instruction in English language.
• Writing and submitting reports regarding all activities and observations of all science teachers in the focused schools.
• Arranging and conducting Need Based sessions on monthly basis for science teachers of all the focused schools as Lesson Plan development session, Model paper development etc
• Making efforts to enhance activity based science teaching methods.
• Ensuring the proper utilization of Science labs and lab instruments.
• Supporting teachers in initiating student’s science project works, activities etc
• Implementing mentoring program via supporting teachers in their planning, co-planning and co-teaching in the classrooms.
• Giving Model Lessons (Demo Lesson) to science teachers on need basis in all the focused schools.
• Support, observe and record progress of science teachers and science mentors of their class.
• Need to keep up to date the science teachers with developments in their subject area, new resources, teaching methods and objectives.
• Marking work, giving appropriate feedback and maintaining records of Science teacher’s progress and development.
• Making Science subject schedules (Test schedule, Revision schedule, Home work schedule, Copy checking schedule…) and ensuring its implementation.
• Working on “summer vacation projects”, designing different activities and assigning those activities as summer home work to students.
• Initiated variety of teaching methods to stimulate appropriate learning, skills among student as per needs and demands of the syllabus of Biology.
