Rheela Naz has extensive professional experience in advocacy and lobbying for human rights, policy analysis/development, project management, capacity building, and material development with both national and international development organizations. Her career has been dedicated to addressing critical social issues, particularly in the areas of gender-based violence, girls' education, literacy and community development, material development for primary grades, economic empowerment of women, and the protection of women's rights and child labor. Throughout her career, Raheela Naz has collaborated with numerous national and international NGOs (USAID, IRC, Dubai Cares, Oxfam, CIDA, ILO, CEC, DFID, World Vision, University of Oregon, Alif Laila Book Bus Society, IRM etc.) and govt. departments leveraging her expertise to create meaningful and sustainable impact in the communities she serves.
Currently, Raheela Naz has been actively engaged as a volunteer member of the National Advocacy and Lobbying Delegation in spreading awareness for womens rights in marriage and divorce, focusing on the practical enforcement of legal protections. Her work involves legislative lobbying, pushing for stronger and clearer legal frameworks under the Muslim Family Laws Ordinance (MFLO) 1961, and ensuring these laws are upheld at both local and provincial levels. She has built strategic alliances with government officials, legal experts, and civil society organizations to drive reforms and protect womens rights. Additionally, she has led capacity-building initiatives, training key stakeholders to better support women through the challenges of marriage and divorce. Her commitment is to ensure that womens rights are not just recognized but actively defended in all aspects of marital law. One of her key contributions has been in legislative advocacy, where she engaged with policymakers and legislators to push for reforms that strengthen the legal protections for women in marriage and divorce.
As an education strategist and material development advisor, Raheela Naz has successfully merged theory with practice, resulting in impactful initiatives to develop research-based supplementary reading materials with USAID, Pakistan Reading Project to support the provincial and regional departments of Education throughout Pakistan to improve the reading skills of 4 million children. Her expertise as a capacity-building trainer, policy analyst, and curriculum planner has been widely recognized and sought after in the education sector.
A prolific writer and published author, she has shared their insights and knowledge with a global audience. Her debut book, Plant a New You, published on Amazon, has been met with widespread acclaim, drawing readers from around the world.
