Work under the guidance and direct supervision of the Head of Technical Excellence to provide support to the IRC Country program developing Climate Change Adaptation & Resilience Portfolio, including capacity building of the technical team and mainstreaming the same across the program strategies, designs, implementation, and close out and to conduct a comprehensive assessment to inform/develop the country program strategy and to the promotion and delivery of climate action and resilience response across the country including policy advocacy, relevant research and implementation and mobilizing resources for specific projects particularly those that enhance the social well-being and builds their resilience against natural/unnatural disasters. Also responsible for advocating for and representing IRC in their expertise and at relevant coordination fora.
Key deliverables:
-          Led Study on green entrepreneurship/ green jobs
-          Led / Conducted studies on Local adaptation plans of action (LAPA), Climate financing, the impact of climate-induced disasters and drought on the socio-economic condition of rural communities, prototyping the resilient climate-smart agriculture, climate financing, and organized events for launching these studies with wider audiences.
-          Develop a Climate Change & Resilience strategy for IRC Pakistan
-          Capacity building of the team on Climate change programming, including climate change champions, measuring the carbon footprints for Pakistan and regional offices, and developing a plan for carbon off-setting for Country and regional offices.
-          Introduced innovative ideas for building the community’s resilience, such as Climate smart village/ valleys development, integrated climate change in program outcomes, and developing climate resilience Model WASH villages and facilities.
-          Mapping potential donors and developing Concept notes/proposals on Climate Change adaptation.
 

Under European Union (EU) funded Programme for Improved Nutrition in Sindh (PINS), Sr. AFSO is responsible for the coordination, oversight, and support to ensure effective implementation of the AFS component of PINS ER-3 including the execution of the overall Programme AFS strategy, work plans, and achievement of project results.

- Work in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary teams at RSPN and the implementing partners for day-to-day coordination and support for the range of AFS interventions including Farmer Field Schools (FFS), Kitchen gardening, Climate Smart Agriculture, Livestock related interventions, and the various AFS pilot initiatives being undertaken by the Programme.
- Provide technical AFS expertise and support to the implementing partner Agriculture Officers (AOs) and Community Nutrition Officers (CNOs), and Programme Affiliates (i.e. FFS Managers), for operational field-level planning, implementation, and reporting on the Programme’s AFS activities.
- Support trained Community Livestock Extension Workers (CLEWS) in effectively performing their mandate. Establish CLEWs linkages with the GoS Livestock Department to integrate and mainstream their roles within Government Extensions services.
- Collaborate closely with the PINS ER-3 Monitoring and Evaluation Team and the Knowledge Management Officer to develop learning and knowledge products to communicate project findings, lessons learned, and policy papers
- Regular coordination with NARC, UNFAO, UNICEF, UNDP, Sindh Forest, Agriculture, and Livestock departments, Government of Sindh at the provincial level, to integrate nutrition-sensitive PINS activities harmoniously within the development plans and objectives of the Accelerated Action Plan (AAP) program. 

This role involves overall team lead including activities conceptualization, planning, appraising, financial management, activities execution in the field, monitoring, evaluation, learning, and research questions development. Some of the Work Responsibilities:
1- Supervise the implementation of all project activities in Punjab and Sindh.
2- Lead the collection and Preparation of background information related to Saline agriculture and Communities.
3- Establish and maintain effective working relations with the Project donors.
4- Lead and Facilitate the field team for implementing the agreed action plan to the agreed standards and deadlines.
5- Prepare annual and quarterly results overviews/ Reports and work plans of project activities in Punjab and Sindh.
5- Responsibility for the effective flow of information between team members, Participants in project activities, and the Donors.
6- Supervise work of staff in the districts in terms of work planning, Implementation, Logistics, HR, Compliance, and other management-related tasks and lead capacity-building activities to improve staff performance.
7- Identify and overcome barriers to women’s and youth participation in the project activities.
So far Achievements:
-  Established field offices at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) and Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Agriculture University Multan (MNSAUM).
- Introduced and in place an innovative concept “Farmer Integrated Learning Model (FILM)” at five bright spots; community living with saline agriculture in Punjab and Sindh at the periphery of the Indus Basin river.
- Started research on different saline resistance varieties “Adapting to Salinity in the Southern Indus Basin (ASSIB)”
-  On-board all the stakeholders including MUET, MNSUAM, IUCN, International Centre for Bio-saline Agriculture (ICBA), and government line departments.

The core purpose of this position is to lead the country team, including Skill Development Canters, Microfinance, seasonal, and on-going projects. The role is also responsible for developing country FSL strategy, Mapping of donors, consortium formation with sector-related stakeholders. Liaising with the public-private sector to achieve the country SDGs indicators. Introduction of innovative ideas to enhance Food Security and create employment opportunities.
Achievements:
-          Developed country FSL strategy in line with SDGs targets.
-          Developed FSL guidelines for implementation of Pakistan Humanitarian Pooled Fund and OFDA projects.
-          Designed small scale project for Community Business in drought-affected area of Balochistan
-          Developed guideline/business case for sustainable Enterprise development through Micro-finance.
-          Designed different indigenous market-oriented trades for Skill Development of youth and women
-          Designed and Successfully implemented seasonal projects on FSL.

The key function of the position is to develop the public-private partnership model for empowerment of women through introduction of new concepts of efficient water management practices- innovative water conservation technological models through kitchen gardening (KG) and High-Efficiency Irrigation System (HEIS), leading to sustainable livelihoods.
Achievements:
- Designed and implemented three High-Efficiency Irrigation System (HEIS) and 24 Plastic Tunnel for KG
- Build the capacity of Project Implementing Partners and community women beneficiaries in KG cultivation through technical training on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).
- Cost benefit and comparative advantage analysis of crops grown under Structural farming and High Efficiency Irrigation System with traditional farming.

The goal of the program is to contribute to poverty alleviation in the most gender inclusive manner possible, while engaging youth and women through capacity building trainings and job creation and contribute to providing sustainable means of livelihoods for many people.
Projects include. The core purpose of the position is to successfully implements the Sustainable Methods & Resilient Technology (SMaRT)-an integrated project on Environment, Climate Change and DRR, Entrepreneurship, Agriculture Value Chains, Health, Nutrition and Education leading to Poverty eradication through Climate change mitigation Measures.
Achievements:
- Conducted baseline Survey/ Participatory Rural Horticultural/Livestock Appraisal(PRH/LA) and drafted its report.
- Successfully design and implemented “Revival of local product named KILAO” project in Baltistan. Established business group of 200 women entrepreneurs and revitalized cultural long-standing tradition of KILAO product.
- Established Mountain Honey brand and created business linkages with Five Star hotel chain Marriott and Pearl Continental hotels across Pakistan. Approx. 1300 women entrepreneurs produce honey and supply in these hotels.
- Designed and Implemented High Value Off-Season activity under the project to empower the women of the region, Women Enterprise Groups were formed and linked with local and national market.
- Introduction of Composting tumblers and Alternate energy sources in the region.

The main purpose of this position is to collaborate with Rahma Islamic Relief (RIR) teams to implement overall fundraising goals and identify fundraising opportunities and researches new prospects. Responsible to ensure that high-quality proposals are submitted to donors/partners within timeline, research and assessments tasks, and capacity building activities are managed properly and preparing annual progress reports for Donors.
Specific Duties:
• Design, update donor mapping sheet, funding strategy in line with program strategy and RIR expansion strategy.
• Responsibility for development of periodic funding bulletin and maintaining Donor liaison.
• Developing tools for data analysis and report writing to donors.
• Identifies fundraising opportunities and researches new prospects.
• Lead role in facilitating the design of Concept Papers, Expression of Interests and Proposals in relation to RIR Thematic Areas for donor agencies, government departments and funding resources. Making sure that proposals in progress are in compliance with donor’s guidelines and RIR policies. To skim through Request for Proposals RFPs online fast, and be able to respond quickly, worked under tight time-frames.
• Ensured that all proposal designs comply with Donor Requirements, Government Policies, are in coordination and collaboration with chosen partners and meet RIR’s Standards Operating Procedures (SoPs).
• Ensuring that global standards (such as SPHERE, HAP-I, People in Aid, INEE etc.) are incorporated into all relevant Proposal designs.
• Research, conceptualizing, writing, and organizing ideas into a complete submit-able that address the needs of beneficiaries and requirements of the donor agencies.
• Development, update and maintain a research library in terms of hard and soft copy documents.
• Attend donor coordination, cluster meetings and other events regarding promotions and funding opportunities and present RIR program.

Responsibilities:
Job Purpose: The focal purpose of this position is to manage all aspects of the grants close-out, grants administration which includes management of the grants application process, the assessment and selection processes, assessment teams and grants panel, and will ensure that the project meet set targets and deliver within budget and closeout the grants within the set time frame.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Develops and maintains grant application calendar for all grants
2. Performs various general grant administration functions such as billings, budgets, amendments, plan change, program evaluation etc.
3. Ensures accurate and timely preparation of grant billings and reports in conjunction with Director of Grants
4. Creates and maintains appropriate spreadsheets and documentation to support grant expenses
5. Ongoing monitoring of grant budgets and expenditures to ensure targets are met.
6. Closely working with international close-out consultant to develop procedure and guidelines for grants closing.
7. Supervise the grant close-out team in uploading the grants required documents on ERP, verification of the uploaded file on ERP.
8. Communicates relevant grant information with all appropriate internal users
9. Prepare written and statistical reports for various audiences
10. Identify and advise Director Grants on areas and processes in need of development
11. Ongoing monitoring of grant program goals and monthly performance
12. Works with appropriate agency departments to gather data for reports and ensure that proper records are maintained.

Responsibilities:
1. Identification of key private sector led interventions, structuring of grant interventions for agribusiness projects, development of functional linkages and networks in region, with overall goal to develop agribusiness sector of Pakistan.
2. Assume overall responsibility for planning, implementing, monitoring and coordinating the implementation of the ASF agribusiness project components in region, together with supporting the preparation of detailed annual work-plans, targets and budgets
3. Carry out analyses to determine appropriate interventions into selected sectors of the region.
4. Under the supervision of Regional / Provincial Program Manager, undertake responsibility for the preparation and structuring of grant interventions for agribusiness projects, ensuring conformity and quality, for ultimate submission to the Grants department for further processing.
5. Develop the linkages and networks required at regional level, and identify and implement pro-active measures for continued collaboration.
6. Work closely with sector consultants engaged by ASF from time to time for undertaking various assignments.
7. Assist M&E unit in monitoring of agribusiness related aspects of USAID’s Agribusiness project in region.
8. Any other responsibilities assigned by the Value Chain Lead (VCL)/ Regional Program Coordinator.

Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of work plans for the Livelihood Activities, and maintaining an updated record of the allocation data.
2. Conducting FFS training on Kitchen Gardening and “technique of Rice cultivation” at Staff & Community level to overcome on Food Security.
3. Maintain the required level of coordination with all Program staff in particular and with other unit’s staff in general.
4. Assist in making necessary arrangements for the Program review meetings, workshops as well as establishment of FFS and training sessions.
5. Undertake field visits as and when required to monitor field activities and meet beneficiaries and prepare analytical reports for the review of Activity Manager and the management.
6. Represent the Livelihood Activities in the absence of the PC at various forums internally or externally.
7. Maintain an updated presentation on an agreed format for the ongoing and completed Livelihood interventions.
8. Established nutrition group in schools, practice the students through school gardening, (Activities introduced first time in Pakistan).
9. Takes session regarding nutrition at school level, as well mobilize the community to increase the enrolment in the schools through parent’s teachers meeting.

1. Design new programs and expand/ develop existing program on Livelihoods and Education and demonstrate a close alignment of program objectives with the organization’s goals.
2. Assist and coordinate with Education Department and UN-FAO to keep emergency education and Livelihoods program staff abreast of current technical developments and debates, specifically pertaining to new and existing program areas.
3. Produce high quality, analytical program reports (narrative and financial) and report program activities against the monitoring indicators of project proposals and plans.
4. Assist the proposal writing staff in writing quality proposals including budget. Ensure donor reporting requirements are adhered to and are of a high quality.
5. Develop and improve work coordination with local key partners like community, local NGO and civil society.
6. Ensure that the education program is implemented effectively in a good quality standards and ensuring consistency of the work in accordance to the programs goal and objectives.
7. Submit operational plans on weekly and monthly basis, reviewing activities periodically, to ensure that project expenditures are used within limits and guidelines approved by the Project Director
8. Ensure effective, streamlined communication between education program and Logistics and other support staff.
9. Established and registered community model schools through line department.
