To select an appropriate sealant material for the main ram of forging press

The problem at peoples steel mills in the forging shop was that the leakage was happening at the main ram due to the non readability and tolerance limit of the main ram seal and the plant of forging shop near main ram was getting corrode which should be stopped .there were some other problems with water pump block seals too.so the work was to allocate the problem of seals or so as to replace Them with the correct one and to test the specifications of the defected seals which were showing the problem of leakage .Most importantly I had to study all the seals and I visited forging and all to get to know about processing conditions that is temperature and pressure which was the operational conditions along with the speed of the ram. I did the tastings which proves that the seal which was breaking within the two working days of the continuous operations was having leakage just because the specification of temperature and pressure which the local manufacturers were giving was not obvious and correct so next step was to find the appropriate seal which I did successfully. But when I presented my result in front of my forging press plant engineer he refuses to accept just because it was not economical and they were saying that I must choose an appropriate one which should be economical too .so I worked hard after that and luckily I achieved my result and selected appropriate one by the grace of God.
