Major Responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility of Accounts & Finance department.
• Manages day-to-day accounting, invoicing, payroll, cash management and internal financial reporting.
• Ensures accurate and timely reporting.
• Liaises with the Audit Committee and other auditors to ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements and standards.
• Continually reviews work practices and procedures for better operational efficiency; and potential issues in accounts, financial processes and controls and proactively raise management attention to act and resolve.
• Provides support and input to project financial planning processes including monitoring progress.
• Produces and reviews financial reports, ensuring that expenditure is according to approved contractual budgets
• Directs internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
• Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
The Company status as a commercial importer engaged in the business of trading, engineering services in sea and dry ports and corporate event organizers.
Major Responsibilities:
• Negotiate with banks and NBFI for financing arrangement and rescheduling.
• Managed finance department with responsibility for Budgets, Forecasting, A/c Payable and Receivable.
• Co-ordination with banks and NBFI’s for renewal of existing financing facilities.
• Managing company’s excess fund into short term investments.
• Negotiate with banks/insurance co.’s for opening and retirement of letter of credit, bank/insurance guarantees.
• Extensively involved in strategic business planning of company and allocation of revenue targets to marketing & sale personnel’s.
• Budgeting and forecasting of Cash Flow requirement.
• Review monthly P&L and discuss with management.
• Keeping liaison by communication (personal/written) with:
• Business associates;
• Corporate law firms;
• Financial institutions;
• Taxation department;
• Other concerned Government departments.
• Preparation of annual financial statement for management and regulatory authorities.
• Supervision of external audit.
• Supervision of filling of all tax returns and finalizing tax orders with consultant.
• Conducting internal audit procedures on random basis and taking timely corrective measures by resolving problems in consultation with the related person/department/management.
• Analysis of reports on random/periodical basis by checking the data with relation to budgeting and forecasting and suggesting corrective measures to the management, if beyond the powers of the Head of Accounts & Finance:
• +/- Variations with history;
• +/- Variations with targets.
• Effectively generate suggestions, nonconformities or complains through Corrective Actions Request form.
The Company status as a spinning public limited company engaged in the manufacturing of cotton yarn. The annual turnover of the company is approx. Rs. 900 million.
Job Responsibilities included in the portfolio:
• Preparation of daily drawing power position with different banks.
• Liaison with banks for arrangement of delivery order from pledged yarn and cotton.
• Co-ordination with different bank departments for daily transactions.
• Monitoring day to day activities.
• Checking payment, receipt and journal voucher.
• Monthly reconciliations with debtors and creditors.
• Checking of delivery order and sales invoices with dispatch report.
• Checking of debit and credit notes.
• Checking commission bills on sales and purchases.
• Checking of store bills with quotations and minimum order quantity.
• Analysis of monthly company expenses with budgeted.
• Checking and analysis of monthly payroll head office
