• As Interns’ Scheme Coordinator:
• Objective: To enable the participants to learn and practice the philosophy, knowledge, process and practices of community development.
• Interns’ Scheme was a joint initiative of NWFP-EP Project and Frontier Education Foundation (FEF).
• Worked as overall coordinator of the Interns' Scheme that focused on Training and Education of fresh graduates in Social Organization for Education development within a gender sensitive context through a programme of taught courses and field-work delivered over a twelve-month period with mentoring approach. Interns’ were placed with locally based NGOs in their home districts and supported by an experienced Social Organizer within the NGO who would work as their Mentor.
AKF was conceived as a flexible humanitarian relief and development initiative in Afghanistan during war and rehabilitation phases. Its unique contributions include regenerating the community spirit for self-help, integrating women in all its development initiatives, shaping an informed and increasingly confident civil society and providing inspiration to other development actors, notably government, to pursue inclusive development policies and workable approaches.

Barani Area Development Project was an ADB, IFAD and GoNWFP funded project being implemented in 10 districts of NWFP and one tribal agency. The objectives of the project are to alleviate poverty and enhance the status of women by employing participatory approaches. The project has also a capacity building component.
• Overall Planning, Management and monitoring of districts team especially the NGOs and Project District level staff.
• Coordinate with Government Departments i.e. Health, Education, skills etc for policy level issues.
• Advice the Project Director on all important gender related issues in the project to ensure that the gender concerns are being addressed in the project components like Natural Resource Management (NRM), Infrastructure and Rural Micro Finance at both policy level and implementation levels. Assist Project Director for developing special strategies for Kohistan and Orakzai Agency (very remote and conservative districts)
• Supervised a team of 11 gender coordinators, Implementing Partners (IPs) and professional staff.

• Present and suggest Project Steering Committee (PSC, Headed by Additional Chief Secretary) Gender progress and gender gaps at policy level also suggest measures towards gender equality results.
• Liaison with Asian Development Bank and IFAD for innovations and revision of gender strategies for promoting gender equality results.
• Participate as a key member of selection board (chaired by Additional Chief Secretary) for staff recruitments as a subject specialist at Provincial Level.
• Coordinate with Chamber of Commerce, Vocational Training Institutes, Provincial and Regional Institutes for Teachers’ Education (PITE, RITE), Provincial Health Services Academy (PHSA) through MOUS for various capacity development courses for Women Empowerment.

Worked as Senior Social Organizer with a Provincial NGO, Sarhad Rural Support Program (SRSP), firstly at district Charsadda (1994 to 1997) and then at district Kohat since March 1997 to August 1999.
