The Educational Counselor for Study Abroad will be responsible for advising students on their overseas education options, assisting with applications, and providing support throughout the entire process. Key Responsibilities:
Student Counseling:
- Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students and parents to understand their academic backgrounds, career goals, and preferences.
- Provide personalized advice on suitable courses, universities, and countries based on the student's profile and aspirations.
Application Assistance:
- Guide students through the application process for various international universities, ensuring all documentation and requirements are met.
- Assist with writing and reviewing personal statements, essays, and recommendation letters.
Visa Guidance:
- Provide detailed information on visa requirements and assist students with the visa application process.
- Ensure students understand and comply with the immigration regulations of their chosen study destination.
Workshops and Seminars:
- Organize and conduct informational workshops and seminars on topics such as studying abroad, cultural adaptation, and financial planning.
- Prepare students for standardized tests required for admission (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT).
Follow-Up and Support:
- Maintain regular follow-up with students throughout the application process and after their arrival at their study destination.
- Provide ongoing support and advice to ensure students are well-prepared and comfortable in their new environment.
Market Research:
- Stay updated on the latest trends and changes in international education, including new academic programs, scholarships, and visa regulations.
- Research and identify new opportunities and partnerships with international educational institutions.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep accurate records of student interactions, applications, and progress.
- Prepare regular reports on student counseling activities and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in educational counseling or a similar role, preferably in an international education setting.
- Strong knowledge of global education systems and application processes for countries like the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and others.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
