Senior Electrician - Solar

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrician to lead our team of junior electricians and technicians. The ideal candidate will oversee the execution and management of large industrial and commercial solar project installations. This role requires a hands-on leader with in-depth technical knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on-site.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

Supervise and manage a team of junior electricians and technicians, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Train, mentor, and guide team members to enhance their technical skills and efficiency.

Project Execution:

Oversee the execution of large-scale industrial and commercial solar project installations.
Review project designs and blueprints to ensure proper implementation and compliance with industry standards.
Coordinate with project managers and engineers to align team activities with project timelines and objectives.

Technical Expertise:

Conduct inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including solar PV systems.
Ensure the proper installation and maintenance of electrical components, wiring, and systems in compliance with local and international standards.
Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues on-site.

Health & Safety:

Enforce health and safety regulations to ensure a secure work environment for all team members.
Conduct safety briefings and ensure the use of appropriate protective equipment and tools.

Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare detailed reports on project progress, system performance, and team activities.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

Requirements

Education:

Diploma in a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an electrician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role.
Proven experience in large-scale industrial and commercial solar project installations is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical wiring, and installation.
Proficiency in using electrical testing tools and equipment.
Familiarity with industry codes, regulations, and standards.

Other Skills:

Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Basic computer literacy for documentation and reporting purposes.
