Senior Planning / Cost Control Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning & Cost Control Manager to lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost management for large-scale civil or mechanical engineering projects. (Saudi Aramco & Neom Projects) The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project controls, Primavera P6, and cost forecasting in the construction or engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Scheduling:

Develop, implement, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other scheduling tools.
Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contract milestones and deadlines.
Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to align schedules.
Identify risks and delays, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.

Cost Control & Budgeting:

Establish project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost efficiency.
Conduct cost forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting to senior management.
Implement cost control procedures to prevent cost overruns and enhance profitability.
Work closely with procurement and contract teams to optimize cost structures.

Project Controls & Reporting:

Develop and maintain project dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with project governance, standards, and best practices.
Analyze project KPIs and recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency.

Risk Management & Claims:

Identify and assess risks related to planning, cost, and contracts.
Provide support for claims management, including delay analysis and dispute resolution.
Coordinate with legal and commercial teams for claim preparation and resolution.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
20 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and cost control in construction or engineering projects.
Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and cost control software.
Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), WBS, and cost control principles.
Experience in managing large infrastructure, oil & gas, or industrial projects is preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
