Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero software.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare financial reports, including project cost reports, cash flow statements, and budget forecasts.
- Assist in preparing VAT returns, CIS returns, and year-end accounts in collaboration with the Finance/Accounts Manager.
- Oversee rental property matters, including rent collection, expense tracking, and tenant communications.
- Support HR functions, such as payroll processing and maintaining employee records.
- Handle general administrative duties related to finance and office management.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and external accountants as required.
- Assist with project control and procurement, dealing with council applications, utility applications, etc.
- Assist with business development and brand development.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, finance, or accounting, preferably in property development.
- Proficiency in Xero software and Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, VAT, CIS, and payroll processes.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience handling HR and administrative tasks is a plus.
