SQA Engineer

Tech X is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our software products meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for both manual and automated testing processes while collaborating closely with development teams to identify and resolve defects efficiently. With a requirement of at least three years of experience in software testing, proficiency in automation testing tools, and a deep understanding of quality assurance methodologies, you will lead a team of three QA professionals. Your leadership will support a collaborative environment focused on continual improvement and exceptional user experience.

Responsibilities

Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for new and existing software applications.
Develop, document, and maintain test cases and test scripts for manual and automated testing.
Execute functional, regression, and performance testing across various platforms and devices.
Utilize automation testing tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
Track defects using JIRA, ensuring clear documentation and communication for resolutions.
Collaborate with software developers to understand functional requirements and detect problems early in the development process.
Lead and mentor a team of three SQA professionals, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing insights related to quality assurance and testing.
Provide regular status updates and metrics on testing progress and defect resolution.
Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in quality assurance and automation tools.
