The IT Executive/Assistant Manager will oversee and maintain the organisation’s IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation across networking, server management, hardware, and security systems. The role also includes troubleshooting technical issues and providing timely support to ensure optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities

Networking:

  • Design, implement, and maintain the organisation’s network infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, VPNs, and encryption protocols.

Server Management:

  • Install, configure, and manage servers, including Windows and Linux environments.
  • Ensure server performance, availability, and reliability through regular maintenance.
  • Manage backups and disaster recovery processes.

CCTV and Security Cameras:

  • Install and maintain CCTV systems and security cameras across locations.
  • Troubleshoot camera-related issues and ensure footage storage integrity.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the security system’s functionality.

Hardware Management:

  • Oversee the procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT hardware, including computers, printers, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware malfunctions to minimise downtime.
  • Maintain an inventory of all IT assets.

Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support to end-users for software, hardware, and network issues.
  • Identify and resolve IT system vulnerabilities and errors.
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners for complex issues.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT management, system administration, and networking.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in server management, networking protocols, and CCTV systems.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Certifications like CCNA, MCSA, or CompTIA A+ are a plus.

Work Environment

  • Office-based with occasional site visits for equipment installation or maintenance.
  • May require after-hours support to resolve critical issues.
