The Import / Export Assistant is responsible for troubleshooting logistical challenges and contributes significantly to optimizing supply chain processes while adhering to applicable laws and regulations. To excel in this position, the Import / Export Assistant must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and a thorough understanding of compliance regulations that govern international trade. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a prerequisite, along with a minimum of five years of experience in import and export functions. The role encompasses various key responsibilities pertaining to documentation, logistics, and compliance checks that are essential for facilitating seamless international transactions. The Import / Export Assistant contributes positively to the operational success of AgriMin International by ensuring that all import and export activities meet the company's high standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all import and export documentation to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth shipping processes.
  • Prepare and oversee all necessary customs documentation, ensuring adherence to compliance regulations.
  • Monitor shipments and track delivery timelines, promptly addressing any issues that arise to minimize delays.
  • Assist in the evaluation of shipping routes and methods to optimize costs and delivery times.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import and export transactions and provide status reports as needed.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners to ensure efficient transportation of goods.
  • Stay updated on changes to trade regulations and compliance requirements, implementing necessary changes to company procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute supply chain strategies that align with business goals.
  • Analyze shipment data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
