We seek a detail-oriented and efficient Store Officer to manage the daily operations of our yarn store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inventory management, data entry management, and ensuring the store operates smoothly. The Store Officer will play a key role in maintaining a well-organized store, keeping records, and managing stock levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:
- Accurately track and manage all yarn and related stock items.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and place orders for new orders when necessary.
- Conduct regular stock counts, resolve discrepancies, and report on stock movements.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of yarn to prevent damage and maintain quality.
Store Operations:
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing, with a well-arranged yarn display.
- Assist in labeling, and shelving new yarn arrivals.
- Oversee the proper storage of yarns, ensuring they are stored by color, type, and weight for easy access.
- Maintain a functional and organized stockroom for back-end storage.
- Maintain and understand different types of yarns, fibers, textures, and uses.
- Handle order queries, demands, and return of material to store professionally.
Record keeping:
- Keep records of daily inwards and outwards of raw material.
- Manage and maintain a packing list.
- Manage and notify the required and shortage of yarn in the store.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to all store policies, health, and safety standards.
- Maintain a safe working environment for both customers and staff.
- Ensure yarns are stored and handled in accordance with safety guidelines.
Team Support:
- Work closely with the Store Manager and other team members to ensure efficient store operations.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior staff members.
- Maintain effective communication within the team to meet operational goals.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors or Masters in management.
Experience: Previous experience in a retail setting, especially in yarn or craft stores, is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of different types of yarn, fibers, and textiles (e.g., nylon, cotton, polyester, polypropylene).
- Proficient in using ERP system software (ERP, SAP, ORACLE).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage stock and handle inventory management systems effectively.
- Ability to handle and manage staff members.

Personal Attributes:

Passionate about yarn, knitting, crocheting, or other fiber arts.
Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position.
Flexible working hours, including weekends and public holidays as required.
