Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure adherence to all regulations governing pharmacy practice.
Stay updated with changes in pharmaceutical laws and standards, and implement necessary adjustments in practices.

Inspection and Audit Activities:

Conduct regular and systematic audits of prescription records, medication administration records (MARs), inventory logs, compounding logs, and ADR reports.
Inspect medication storage areas for compliance with temperature, humidity, and security requirements.
Verify controlled substances are managed and documented according to regulatory standards.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inspections and audits.
Document findings and prepare detailed reports on compliance status, identifying areas for improvement.
Ensure proper documentation of training, competency assessments, and continuing education for all pharmacy staff.

Quality Assurance and Safety:

Implement and monitor systems for reporting and analysing medication errors and adverse drug reactions (ADRs).
Conduct regular risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
Promote practices that ensure patient safety, including proper labelling, storage, and patient counselling.

Policy and Procedure Management:

Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to pharmacy operations.
Ensure all staff are familiar with and adhere to established SOPs.
Develop and implement emergency protocols for handling medication recalls and other urgent situations.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration:

Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and effective patient care.
Document all significant communications, particularly those involving medication orders or changes.
