Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed audit plans focusing on food safety standards such as ISO 22000, HACCP, and other relevant regulations.
- Coordinate with food safety management teams to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of food safety management systems and controls.
- Identify non-conformities, areas of improvement, and potential risks in food safety practices.
- Document audit findings, prepare detailed audit reports, and present recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure audit documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with food safety standards and regulations.
- Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely and effective implementation of corrective actions.
- Lead and mentor a team of food safety auditors, providing guidance and support.
- Foster a collaborative environment with production and quality assurance teams to facilitate the audit process.
- Provide training and development opportunities for audit staff in food safety standards and practices.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and new food safety audit techniques.
- Participate in the development and implementation of food safety audit policies and procedures.
- Ensure the organization complies with relevant food safety laws, regulations, and standards.
- Assist in the development of risk management and compliance programs specific to food safety.
- Certified Food Safety Auditor CFSA, Certified HACCP Auditor (CHA), or equivalent certification
- Conduct internal audit as necessary
