The Assistant Chemist supports research and development activities in the laboratory, conducting experiments, analyzing samples, and assisting in the preparation of reports. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of laboratory operations and contributing to product development and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory experiments and assist in research projects under the supervision of senior chemists.
- Prepare and analyze samples using various chemical techniques and instruments (e.g., chromatography, spectroscopy).
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, including experiment protocols and results.
- Assist in the preparation of chemical solutions and reagents.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration and routine maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve experimental issues.
- Support quality control processes by conducting tests and reporting findings.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field
