Role & responsibilities

We are a digital marketing agency looking to hire a skilled WordPress & PHP developer to design and implement functional websites for our clients.
You will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development. This will include implementing themes and plugins, site integration, and security updates.
Our ideal candidate will have expertise in front-end programming languages, a good aesthetic vision, and robust content creation skills.

Required Skills

Proven work experience as a WordPress & PHP developer. Shopify experience would be a good addition to this, although not mandatory.
Knowledge of back-end and front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery, and PHP.
Knowledge of tools like Mercurial, Git, and SVN.
Experience working with debugging tools like Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
Good understanding of website architecture, UX, and UI.
Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects within the required timeline.

Tasks

Designing and building websites front-end in WordPress and Shopify.
Managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
Generating WordPress and Shopify themes and plugins.
Conducting website performance tests and troubleshooting any issues.
Communicate with the client for requirements and deliver progress updates.
