Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Upwork freelancer or working in an Upwork-focused business development role
  • Strong track record of winning new clients and projects through the Upwork platform
  • Expertise in Upwork bidding strategies, lead generation, and proposal writing to convert leads
  • Excellent client communication skills, including managing client expectations and project requirements
  • Experience of using LinkedIn Sales Navigator for sales prospecting, email marketing and cold calling would be a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

Preferred Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of the Upwork platform features, policies, and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Familiarity with website development and graphic designing.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify high-quality leads on the Upwork platform
  • Craft compelling project proposals and bids to win new clients
  • Manage the entire client lifecycle, from onboarding to project completion
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients
  • Track and report on key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
