Education & Experience:

  • Minimum qualification: Bachelor's in Commerce (B.Com) or higher
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar accounting role
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop is mandatory

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience in managing ledgers, bills, cash, and inventory
  • Familiarity with purchasing order systems, receivables, and payables
  • Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Understanding of financial forecasting and budget management
  • Ability to prepare financial statements and balance sheets
  • Experience with bank reconciliation and payroll processing
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and managing supplier relationships
  • Experience in cost accounting or project accounting is an advantage
  • Understanding of local and international tax regulations, compliance, and reporting standards
  • Experience with regulatory filings (e.g., VAT/GST, payroll taxes)
  • Ability to maintain and organize accounting records and documentation effectively

Software Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
  • Expertise in accounting software, primarily QuickBooks
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and other accounting tools
  • Knowledge of cloud-based accounting practices is a plus

Analytical & Organizational Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and recommend improvements
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and solve problems effectively

 Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

  • Excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English
  • Soft-spoken and effective communicator
  • Ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience working with management, vendors, auditors, and other stakeholders
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and dependable
  • Proactive with the ability to take initiative
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining confidentiality with sensitive financial information
  • Hybrid work model, offering flexibility for both in-person and remote work arrangements
