Technical Level

  • Assist in designing of project specific database & tools.
  • Giving constructive feedback on project operations to Field teams and help with troubleshooting on missing/incorrect data
  • Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources
  • removing corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems
  • Developing and maintaining databases, data systems – reorganizing data in a readable format 
  • Performing analysis to assess quality and meaning of data
  • Filter Data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems
  • Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction
  • Assigning numerical value to essential business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time.
  • Working with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies. 
  • Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends. 
  • Recommend training to increases skills and compliance of field staff.
  • Ensure formal and informal project database & reports are submitted in a timely and efficient manner.

Specific Responsibilities

  • The Data Analyst will be responsible for the data management, Analysis, Reporting which includes timely collection of records, in the MIS system, verifying & validating the data, reporting.
  • Coordinate all field activities with implementing staff for timely submission of data
  • Assist in designing of project specific data collection tools.
  • Conduct frequent field-visits to project locations for cross verification and validation
  • Conduct interviews with project team members
  • Giving constructive feedback on project operations to Field teams and help with troubleshooting.
  • Recommend training to increases skills and compliance of field staff.
  • Ensuring formal and informal project data reports are submitted to Project manager in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines and filing as per IR Achieve Record Management Policies
  • To assist in the identification and production of management information and statistics for management at all levels, including the appropriate analysis and compilation of reports as required
  • Support programming and field staff to ensure that projects are carried out with participation from all affected communities (including women) and that information is shared with affected communities.
  • Maintain the Conflict and Feedback Mechanism database and conduct regular analysis to inform decision making and future project designs
  • Ensure that all programmes are designed and implemented in accordance with CHS

Programme Learning and documentation

  • Work with programme staff to promote learning culture and ensure learning is shared across field offices by encouraging cross learning between and within sectorial teams, tracking trends and recommendations and progressing their implementation in the planning and project design where appropriate; Support in programme documentation and sharing of learnings at the field level.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of quality evaluations (needs assessments, situational analysis, baseline, and end line assessments, real time evaluations etc;) by providing technical support and/or identifying resources within IR Pakistan and externally;
  • Support and/or promote utilization of data generated through all Programme activities and events such as monitoring visits, baselines, assessments, reviews, real time evaluations etc; by conducting regular and/or periodic trends analysis and producing detailed and precise internal and external reports in line with IR requirements and Develop Accurate Presentations with the support of Programme Coordinator, Manager, Project Officer

Operational Level

  • Preparation of weekly / monthly work plans.
  • Maintenance of hard record that includes field visits reports, beneficiary data, assessment record, distribution record & other documentation.
  • Ensure verification and accurate information in MIS/Excel Databases
  • Ensure appropriate beneficiary’s data collection & screening prior to making any transaction with teams support
  • Ensure proper filling of forms & formats as per desired standard
  • Extend support to Project Manager, Programme Coordinator, Project Officer/ MEAL / Communications staff for gathering desired information.
  • Ensure availability of up to date information in MIS on regular basis with consultation of Project Teams
  • Close coordination with line manager for effective implementation of project activities

Organizational Level

  • Ensure compliance with IR’s policies & procedures in true spirit for effective delivery of services to communities.
  • In depth understanding of IR values and their demonstration in the field while working with communities.
  • Abide by the IR zero tolerance policy towards bribery & corruption through sensitization / empowerment of communities on coping mechanism so that they can raise voice as & when feel inappropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of IR strategic priorities to ensure effective implementation with future sustainability.
  • Assist in identification & documentation of organizational successes for show casing IR work
  • Facilitate communities in adaptation of environment friendly & cost effective approaches to meet their current as well as future needs with specific attention to climate change Focused efforts to be made for mainstreaming of marginalized groups i.e. Persons with disability and old age, minorities, Women & children etc in consultation & implementation of project activities at ground.
  • Strengthen mechanism to Influence the decision makers through communities to pay attention towards DRR planning, give voice to suffering and the excluded, highlighting the protection needs of people.
  • Participation and facilitation in implementation of IR seasonal programmes & emergency response

Value Added Skills

  • Data Entry procedures, Database Development MIS tools utilization and Intermediate experience in MS Excel
  • Understanding of  Social Mobilization, Profiling and Documentation
  • Tools development skills for emergency response, analytic and report writing skill
  • Inclusion.
