Educational Requirements:

Graduation: A bachelor's degree, which may be in any field, though a background in travel, tourism, or hospitality is often preferred.
Diploma: A Diploma in Air Ticketing & Reservation System, ideally from a recognized institution or an IATA (International Air Transport Association) certified agency.

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience working in an IATA-certified agency. This experience should involve handling air ticket bookings, reservations, and customer inquiries in accordance with IATA guidelines.
Experience as an Air Ticketing Officer would include skills such as issuing tickets, managing reservations, handling cancellations and refunds, and coordinating with airlines or travel partners for customer support.

Skills and Competencies:

Knowledge of Air Ticketing Systems: Familiarity with global distribution systems (GDS) like Sabre, Amadeus, or Galileo, which are commonly used in ticketing and reservations.
Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle customer concerns and requests efficiently.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in ticket bookings, especially when it comes to flight details, pricing, and travel documents.
Time Management: Ability to handle multiple bookings and reservations simultaneously, especially in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Issuing and reissuing airline tickets.
Managing reservations for both domestic and international flights.
Handling inquiries related to travel schedules, fares, and policies.
Ensuring compliance with airline policies and IATA regulations.
Coordinating with airlines, travel agents, and customers for seamless booking experiences.
Managing cancellations, refunds, and rebookings.
