•  Plan, direct and control all selling and marketing activities of the station and penetrate the local market to secure new sources of revenue and surpass set revenue budgets.
  •  Prepare a Business and Marketing Plan in order to optimize revenue opportunities and maximize FZ presence in the market. Assist in preparing and controlling the expenditure budget
  •  Research and report on other airline practices and rates and recommend corrective action. (Evaluate FZ market share, traffic movements to/from the station and other airline practices and fares. Identify areas of concern and instigate remedial action)
  • Ensure FZ participation in sales campaigns and public events, collecting sales leads for circulation to concerned departments and stations. (Liaise with Quality Dept FZ HDQ DXB for assistance required.
  •  Assist customers/ clients with all information related to booking/ forwarding/ delivery liaising with local Ground Handling Agents and with Head Office Cargo department to ensure/ enhance a satisfactory service provided by FZ
  • Educate agents/ client with all FZ procedures and procedures regarding the prevailing standards for booking/ delivering issues from time to time by paying agents regular sales visits to generate maximum revenue by providing complete sales & after sales service and encourage them to generate more business on FZ.
  • Maintain a proper profile of all the FZ Cargo agents and clients by paying them visits on a regular basis. Maintain and update profile of all cargo agents for the purpose of keeping in close contact with them and paying them regular visits to be more vigilant and to be fully aware of their activities and encourage them to generate more revenue.
  • Oversee the Ground Handling Agents functions and supervise the staff as and when required to ensure smooth operations and strict compliance to all standards and regulatory requirements.
  •  Supporting other stations by close communication with colleagues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge in air cargo operations
  • Airline experience or air freight industry out of which preferably a minimum 2-3 years.
  • Strong negotiation and good communication skills in English.
  • Understanding of IATA/ TACT Regulations and its impact on sales
