Project Introduction:
MaritimeEA is a private not-for-profit research organization with expertise in cultural heritage management, maritime archaeology, intangible cultural heritage documentation, marine protected area management, ecological and cultural survey, conservation management, tourism and visitor management, community engagement, and blue economy master-planning. MartimEA supports the aims of the UNESCO Convention for the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage, the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030), and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The Digital Heritage Trails Project (DHTP) will seek to record significant endangered archaeological sites in the Indus Delta region and develop a Digital Heritage Trail for a public audience. The project includes developing high precision 3D representations of archaeological sites for site management and monitoring, heritage conservation works, remedial mitigation of climate impacts and heritage tourism.
Project Manager:
MartimEA is looking to hire a “Project Manager” for the Digital Heritage Trails Project.
The Project Manager will manage a small but capable team involved in historical research, archaeological site documentation, 3D data modeling and community engagement. The position is responsible for general project management and coordination between employees, vendors and other stakeholders.
Tasks will include managing a publicity campaign, coordinating the production of audio/video assets with external contractors, and organizing public information dissemination sessions with local schools and museums.
Additional responsibilities include developing a social media strategy for MaritimEA and the Digital Heritage Trails project (DHTP); coordinating with language translators; engaging in the development of the website and content development; planning public information sessions and organizing a successful event launch for the project.
