A Construction organization is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will have a foundational understanding of financial reporting and taxation. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial information. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with taxation requirements, and utilizing your analytical skills to contribute to financial decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports in accordance with applicable standards.
- Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support the taxation process by preparing necessary documents and reports for timely tax filing.
- Conduct thorough analyses and provide insights into financial performance, including budget variances.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation as required.
- Stay informed on changes in tax regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support management decisions.
- Maintain organized financial documentation and records for easy retrieval and reference.
- Utilize accounting software and spreadsheets to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Proven practical experience with QuickBooks.
Requirements:
- MBA in Finance; ACCA qualification is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Accountant.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
