This is a full-time on-site role for a UHT Operator at FMCG COMPANY located in Kabul. The UHT Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining UHT equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations, and monitoring the UHT process to ensure quality and consistency of production. The UHT Operator will also maintain accurate records, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely and efficient production.
Qualifications
Technical Knowledge: Understanding the principles of UHT processing and the operation of UHT equipment, including heat exchangers, pumps, valves and control systems. Familiarity with the specific UHT system used in the facility.
Food Safety and Quality: Knowledge of food safety principles, sanitation practices and quality control standards. Understanding the importance of maintaining product integrity and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Attention to Detail: Being detail-oriented to ensure accurate process monitoring, quality control and record keeping. Recognizing and addressing any deviations from quality standards promptly.
Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrating problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve equipment issues, troubleshoot process deviations and make adjustments to maintain product quality and safety.
Teamwork and Communication: Collaborating effectively with other team members, such as production operators, quality control personnel and maintenance technicians. Communicating any issues or concerns related to equipment performance or product quality.
Safety Consciousness: Prioritizing safety and adhering to safety guidelines and procedures. Understanding potential hazards associated with UHT processing and following safe operating practices.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Being able to work in a fast-paced production environment with changing priorities and production demands. Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends or holidays, as required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Equipment Operation: Operating and monitoring UHT processing equipment, including heat exchangers, pumps, valves and control systems, according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production schedules.
Process Monitoring: Monitoring and controlling the UHT process parameters, such as temperature, pressure, flow rates and holding times, to ensure compliance with product specifications and food safety standards.
Equipment Set Up and Changeovers: Setting up the UHT equipment for different product runs, including adjusting settings, calibrating instruments and ensuring proper sanitation and hygiene practices.
Quality Control: Conducting regular quality checks to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications. This includes sampling and testing the product for organoleptic properties, microbial analysis and other quality parameters.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identifying and resolving equipment malfunctions, troubleshooting process issues and performing routine maintenance tasks. Collaborating with maintenance technicians for more complex repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate production and quality records, including equipment logs, production reports and quality control documentation. Recording any equipment malfunctions, process deviations or incidents.
Safety and Hygiene: Adhering to safety protocols, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper hygiene practices to ensure food safety and a clean production environment.
