We are a progressive 3D Art growing small business, utilizing a diverse range of solutions hosted on servers within our premises. With a global presence, our team comprises both on-site staff located in Auckland, New Zealand, and remote team members working from various locations worldwide. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Remote IT Administrator to join our team and play a crucial role in managing our multifaceted IT infrastructure from an off-site location.

Responsibilities:

1. Remote IT Infrastructure Management:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of our IT infrastructure remotely, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. -
Utilize remote access software to efficiently manage servers, desktop platforms, and network hardware.

2. Collaboration with New Zealand On-Site IT Staff:

Work closely with on-site IT staff who manage the server hardware and are stationed in Auckland.
Collaborate with the on-site team to troubleshoot and address any hardware-related issues or maintenance tasks.

3. Server and Desktop Platform Administration:

Conduct remote server administration, ensuring seamless performance and timely updates and patches.
Provide comprehensive support for Windows, Linux, and macOS desktop platforms used by both on-site and remote employees.

4. Remote Team Support:

Offer proactive technical support and guidance to our remote team members worldwide.
Foster effective collaboration and communication across distributed locations.

5. Network Management:

Remotely administer and maintain network hardware, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Monitor network performance remotely, identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing improvements.

6. Data Security and Backup:

Implement robust data security measures remotely, safeguarding sensitive information against unauthorized access and data breaches.
Oversee remote data backup systems to ensure business continuity.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Proven experience as an IT Administrator or similar role, with a focus on managing diverse IT environments remotely.
Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and macOS desktop platforms, with the ability to troubleshoot
Demonstrated expertise in remote server administration, including managing servers based on Ubuntu, Unraid, TrueNAS, etc.
Familiarity with remote support and the ability to effectively assist and collaborate with remote team members worldwide.
Strong networking knowledge, including the configuration and maintenance of network hardware remotely.
Understanding of data security principles, and experience implementing security measures remotely.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members across different locations.
Proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a remote work environment.
Strong English written and oral skills
Willing to travel annually to New Zealand for onsite meetings/work
