Job Purpose:
The Programme officer will provide relevant expert services to the Programme development and quality assurance Unit. She/He will write, edit, and proofread donors, partners, internal reports, and proposal development.
Functional Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Manager of Programme Development and Quality Assurance, and in close coordination with the Head of Programme, s/he shall be responsible for performing the following duties:
Reporting, Research and Proposal Writing
Required Qualification:
1. Minimum qualifications – Master’s degree in social sciences.
2. Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and good knowledge of MS Publisher and spreadsheets is desirable
Required Experiences and Skills
1. Three to Four years of proven experience with National and International NGOs
2. Ability to write clear, concise, and articulate program reports and proposal writing materials with minimal oversight and editing.
3. At least three years of experience in, donor reporting and research in relation to INGOs/humanitarian sector.
4. Proven experience of providing humanitarian information management and reporting during Organization onset humanitarian crises, including surveying and monitoring key information networks, developing and utilizing multiple sources to provide information, and developing information products as appropriate to different audiences.
5. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently;
6. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team in a diverse environment;
7. Commitment to the Organization’s organizational goals and mission;
8. Previous experience/knowledge of monitoring and evaluation is desirable but not mandatory
9. Basic understanding of humanitarian issues in Pakistan.
10. Commitment to humanitarian principles and actions.
11. Competency in survey and statistical analysis a plus.
12. Familiarity with the international development community and donor solicitation processes (Government, UN and other donor agencies)
Travel Requirement:
The job requires approximately 20% to 40% travel to carry out assigned responsibilities within the coverage area (AJK, Punjab, Sindh, KP, Gilgit Baltistan and potentially Baluchistan). Traveling to field areas is a significant responsibility, so the candidate must be willing and able to travel.
