Geologist
Collects and monitors all information from sensors coming in via a ‘real time’ computer based data acquisition system during drilling, cementing and other oil exploration operations.
Monitor Mud Parameters, Drilling Parameters and Hole filling Parameters during all trips. Detection of gas percentage in mud and separation of hydrocarbon gases C1, C2, C3, iC4, nC4, iC5 and nC5.
Maintain depth and time based database of drilling parameters and other activities. Maintain a safe working environment on the rig, by interpreting the data at hand and giving feedback to the Senior Data Engineer, Mud Engineer, drilling team and company man.
Assisting the well site Geologist during ‘coring operations and also for sample description.
Conduct Calcimetry Test, Shale Density and Shale Factor Tests to determine formation properties. Perform Carbide Test to find out the hole size.
Other: Rig up, Rig down, Installation, Operation, Maintenance, Calibration and Trouble shooting of sensor and other equipment of Mud Logging Unit
