Leading Operations team of more than 75 individuals involved in Customer Due Diligence & KYC, Account Opening, Account Maintenance, Document Archiving, Client Communication, Term Deposit placement & encashments.

I am leading a team of more than 50 staff members involved in diversified operational activities. During this tenure, I successfully completed the regulatory project of EMV Chip-and-PIN Debit & Credit cards embossing. Currently, for Pakistan I am leading the PCI DSS Embossing, Statement printing and Image based clearing projects. Below is the brief description of operational activities under my supervision:
Centralized Inward/Outward clearing processing & settlement thereof.
Debit & Credit cards Embossing & Dispatch in a Centralized structure.
Centralized Client Communication including digital & printed communication like Statement of Accounts, letters & advices SMS, emails etc.
Centralized Cheque Book Operations
Vendor Management for outsourced functions.

Led and supervised a team for Account set up & fulfillment operations, Statement & Advices, Regulatory reporting, Vendor management and Archival of documents. Summary of the operational activities:
Centralized Account Opening & Account maintenance activities.
Credit and Debit cards embossing and dispatch.
Managing digital & paper archival for Account opening forms and Service requests.
Issuance of digital & paper client communication relating to Account opening activities.
Actively Support Digitalization and Simplification agenda through continuous process reviews.
Due diligence and monitoring of outsourced arrangements i.e. cards embossing, cheque book printing and Statement & advices printing in compliance with group and regulatory guidelines.
Centralized submission of WHT, Unclaimed deposits

Performed periodic reviews of processes and operational activities, governing process simplification, identification and mitigation of potential risk items.
Reviewed results of Control Self testing (CST’s), Operational incidents, losses for identification of root cause, any process gaps, inherent risks and remediation, through structured action plan.
Maintained proactive liaison with the unit for timely development, execution and progress of action plan, sharing progress updates with stakeholders.
Conducted risk assurance reviews and shared reports with the Management.
Reviewed group audit reports to identify thematic issues and mapped them with Operational activities of respective units as a preventive measure.
Actively participated as permanent member of various risk forums across the bank to update them on the progress of various risks logged and on any emerging risk items.
Coordinated with ICFR teams, Internal and external inspection teams in their respective reviews and inspections.
