Working as Sr. Technical Support Engineer in Agility Logistics Pvt Ltd , Since 2012 to date.
Main Responsibilities are
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer network with Windows 2019 Standard Edition with Windows 10 client with Trend Micro for device blocking.
- Administration and management of Blue Coat K-9 web protection software for web filtering to secure system and implement the company’s policies.
- Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software;
- Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test, and implement solutions.
- Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, Windows 10 workstations, Windows 2019 Server, file servers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; adds or upgrades and configure modems, disk drives, data acquisition boards, Handheld terminals, printers, and related equipment.
- Perform and look after software like WMS, Control, and CRM and application development, installation, and upgrades.
- Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, applying cryptography to network applications, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users.
- Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
- Develop and conduct various training and instruction for system users on operating systems.
- Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operation/system availability and performance expectations.
- Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures.
- Establish and perform maintenance programs includes software and hardware following company and vendor standards.
- Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability.
- Investigate, recommend, and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network availability.
- Maintain confidentiality concerning the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network.
- Document network problems and resolutions for future reference.
· Provide support for OS, office applications, Business Applications especially CONTROL, WMS, etc., troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation tasks for all branches in the north region.
· Actively pursue the activities listed in preventive maintenance policy and periodically submit various reports required by the HO IT department & direct supervisor. Maintain accurate license tracking for OS, MS Office,
· Installation of Trend Micro and other applications in all warehousing branches for Antivirus and blocking USB to secure the company’s data.
· Ensure all operational IT Policies are followed properly to improve service level.
· Ensure 24x7 Network and Internet availability within all branches of North region
· Maintain and update online IT Asset Roster for all branches in North region
· Improve and maintain uninterrupted internet and local area services for assigned branches
· Update the equipment’s and applications for security patches, firmware, and definitions regularly
· Ensure all the downtimes and critical system issues are reported to service desk/PKITSUPPORT (whichever is relevant) and line manager within 30 minutes of any issue reported by the end-user.
· Ensure optimal utilization of IT resources and find cost-effective and reliable alternatives for IT consumables and internet connectivity.
· Managing vendor Performance e.g. Taking Quotations, Negotiations with different vendors and warranty claims for IT equipment.
