GBV

Program Planning and Implementation:
Develop and implement health programs and initiatives at the district level in line with WHO's strategic objectives and guidelines.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to assess health needs and prioritize interventions accordingly.
Monitor and evaluate program activities, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Collaborate with government health departments, local authorities, and partner organizations to strengthen health systems and promote effective coordination of services.
Facilitate partnerships and alliances with relevant stakeholders to enhance resource mobilization and ensure the sustainability of health programs.
Coordinate with community leaders and organizations to promote community engagement and participation in health initiatives.
Capacity Building and Training:
Identify training needs of health personnel and develop capacity-building plans to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Conduct training sessions and workshops on various health topics, ensuring the dissemination of up-to-date information and best practices.
Provide technical assistance and support to health staff in the district, including mentoring and coaching.
Data Collection and Reporting:
Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of health data to inform evidence-based decision-making.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of health indicators and program outcomes to WHO and relevant authorities.
Support the development and implementation of health information systems to strengthen data management and reporting processes.
Emergency Preparedness and Response:
Contribute to emergency preparedness plans and participate in the response to health emergencies and outbreaks at the district level.

Collaborate with local authorities and partners to develop and implement risk communication strategies during emergencies.
Advocacy and Communication:
Advocate for health issues and promote WHO's priorities and policies at the district level.
Engage in effective communication with stakeholders, including the media, to raise awareness of health challenges and promote health-promoting behaviors.
Participate in meetings, conferences, and workshops to share experiences, best practices, and lessons learned.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Manage the budget and resources allocated to the district, ensuring their optimal utilization and accountability.
Supervise and provide guidance to staff working under the district coordination office.
Contribute to analysis of GBV trends and gaps, including by assisting with drafting briefing notes and analytical reports.
Contribute to support other sectors/units on GBV risk mitigation under overall guidance of Project coordinator and psychologists. Contribute to the design of GBV prevention, risk mitigation and response interventions.
Support GBV capacity building initiatives, including on GBV safe disclosure and referrals.
Ensure the wishes of survivors are prioritized as per the survivor-centered approach.
Enforce compliance with, and integrity of, all protection standard operating procedures for GBV as well as the GBV minimum standards and Guiding Principles.
Perform other related duties as required.
