▪ Using a client centered approach, work together with survivors or children at risk to establish action plans based on the needs identified and ensure adequate safety plans exist for the clients.
▪ Ensure proper use of referral pathways in the field and assist the children and their families to access legal, educational, health, vocational and other services.
  Regularly liaise with the CPO for support and case conferencing together with the Child Protection Coordinator.
▪ Document cases according to IRC standards and maintain all records in a secure and confidential way.
▪ Promote awareness among the communities around key child protection issues their monitoring and referral/case management processes.
▪ Liaise with other service providers to strengthen referral mechanism and always ensure safe and smooth referrals.
▪ Participate in the meetings to share regular updates e.g. number of cases and major categories.
▪ Liaise with the other team members to highlight any key information necessary to ensure services remain relevant to the children.
▪ Identify gaps in services or risks shared by the survivor or children at risk and report these to the Child Protection Coordinator.
▪ Participate in trainings and capacity building events organized by IRC or as per the nominations to participate in other events.
▪ Develop and submit progress reports as required by the line manager.
▪ Contribute to research, learning and evidence-based programming through data collection.
 Ensures that safeguarding standards are understood and met and ensures a safe and child-friendly atmosphere in the Child Friendly Space.
▪ Strengthen community-based child protection mechanism in coordination with community-based protection colleagues and organizations.
▪ Any other task as assigned by the supervisor.

The CPU In-Charge under the project ‘Strengthening response service to CP Cases by setting up case management and case referral system, will mainly be responsible to strengthen Child Protection System by ensuring at risk children or survivors’ smooth access to services. The candidate will establish and strengthen coordination with the key stakeholders including government departments and Civil Society Organizations for an increased possibility of immediate service delivery to the cases being identified, reported or referred to Child Protection Unit. The candidate will work in close coordination with the field teams to regularly update service mapping in respective districts to ensure that available services are well identified for efficient referrals and case management support.
Major Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the CP Manager, support teams in developing regular project work plans of activities being carried out in Child Protection Unit.
Ensure that organizational Case management tools are well understood by the teams and are in use for case identification and referrals.
Regularly organize meetings with the government department and civil society organizations to highlight the importance of CPU’s work in the district contributing towards its sustainability.
Regularly check the data recording tools to ensure that the CPU team is filling accurate information of the cases identified.
Regularly follow up with the focal points in different departments and CSOs to seek support for an immediate service provision to the referred cases.
Ensure accuracy of data, correct record entry in the data base.
Ensure information sharing protocols are well understood and applied to avoid any data breach.
 Ensure focal points are identified and nominated in each of the government departments for case referrals.
With the support from CP manager, ensure all staff are trained on the technical aspects of child protection, Child Protection Unit, Case Management (including Case Identification and Referral Mechanisms) combined with CP Community Networks. • Adapt, contextualize, and translate relevant intervention packages and tools for the field teams
Work with field staff, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure that district-level coordination with relevant government line departments is established (through an MOU) during project start-up phase.
Conduct regular project reviews to ensure timely progress tracking and agree on way forward.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION
Ensure that all interventions are in line with the IRC strategy, and CP Minimum Standards.
With the support from CP Manager, provide technical guidance and project implementation guidance to field staff for CP interventions.
Promptly identify and recommend solutions to technical issues with support of IPC.
Work closely with project teams to ensure quality, timely, implementation of project activities.
Work with team to ensure projects are implemented in conformity with the IRC program framework promoting and protecting rights, participation, capacity building, partnership, and holistic planning.
Coach, train, and mentor partner’s/NGOs, project staff and key stakeholders with the aim of strengthening their technical capacity, exchanging knowledge within the team and providing professional development guidance.
Work closely with SWD & CP Welfare Bureau (Punjab) for the deployment and capacity building of Case workers, Case Management Supervisors and strengthening of CP case management system in accordance with case management SOPs
Undertake regular field monitoring visits to assess progress and identify technical quality issues and/or other implementation issues, provide solutions and implement modifications as required.
Ensure integration of CP, and other sectors like Education, Health, Livelihood, WASH etc.,
