Business Process Improvements and Efficiencies
·Manage monthly closing and reporting, annual budgets, forecasts/latest estimates and ensured all accounting treatments, chart of accounts, reporting requirements, revenue and capex are compliant with the IFRSs and local statutory requirements.
·Provide analysis and financial insight to Finance Controller/Higher Management to prioritize the allocation of resources and to ensure business decisions are based on sound financial analysis.
·Prepare budget vs actual analysis for all type of Scholarship/Financial Aid and Revenue on monthly basis.
·Manage University fee(s) & other receivables through efficient collection process model and ensure timely collection of receivables, comparatively receivable turnover ratio consistently increases on annual basis to strengthen the University’s financial and operational performance.
·Ensure that taxes are being charge accurately and all other GLs are mapped correctly.
·Issue monthly category-wise receivable report along with aging through Oracle ERP system.
·Provide financial analysis and related impacts to the higher management for revision in fee(s) structure on annual basis.
·Closely work with RD (Resource Development) Department for category-wise annual forecasting of funds required in each category (HUTOPS Scholarship, Habib Merit Scholarship, Yohsin Scholarship etc.) and ensure the proper allocation of donations/grants received for students.
·Prepare & circulate yearly student wise cost & revenue analysis to the higher management.
·Ensure the proper adaptation of updates in IFRSs (IFRS 9 and 15) and their recording in financial statements.
·Issue monthly fund utilization report to treasury along with details and ensure that all funds (Zakat, Non Zakat based grants) are utilized as per University & Shariah compliance.
·Liaising with internal and external auditors and ensure the timely completion of quarterly, semi-annul and annual audit.
• Performing risk based audits accordingly to the periodic audit plans.
• Conducting risk assessments on different functions of the organization and Supervise field work of staff.
• Conducting key meetings with the auditees to discuss observations and to develop an understanding of business processes.
• Travelling to different sites to meet relevant staff and obtain documents and information.
• Researching and assessing how well risk management processes are working and recording
the results using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Oracle based Portal.

• Checking of MISA (Medical Information Seminar) expenses reports and forward them to the accounts department for further proceeding/disbursement.
• Checking and verifying of distributor’s claims and lodge them into proceedings according to the Policy and SOPs of the company.
